There are several excellent restaurants, an award winning country pub and golf course in and around the village. Nearby are several fishing lakes including Broadlands at Romsey and the famous 'Paultons Park' is only a 10 minute drive. The village has a small food store and Post Office.

Landford is a small village on the edge of the New Forest ideally situated for visitors wishing to explore the area. From the apartment by car: New Forest 2mins, Salisbury 15mins, Southampton 20mins, Bournemouth and Poole
40mins, Romsey 15mins, Portsmouth 45mins, M27 10mins, London approx 1hr 10mins.

Hamptworth Golf course is only a 4 minute drive, this offers an 18 hole championship course, driving range and tennis courts. Other golf courses within a 10 minute drive are Bramshaw, Wellow and Dunwood.

The New Forest with its thousands of acres of woodland and grassland where animals roam freely is renown for its beauty and attracts hoards of visitors each year. It gives unlimited beautiful walks with lots of wonderful country pubs serving real ale and excellent traditional food.

Salisbury is a beautiful City famous for its Cathedral. It has cobbled walkways with cafes where you can sit outside and soak up the atmosphere. There is a market twice a week and some lovely shops to browse. Plus the infamous Stone Henge is near by.

Southampton, famous for its docks and full of history now boasts its new indoor 'West Quay' shopping area with all the big stores including John Lewis. You can also take a short ferry ride to the Isle of Wight.

Bournemouth has miles of beautiful golden beaches and can also offer excellent shopping facilities.

Portsmouth is a famous naval port where you can view 'HMS Victory and the 'Mary Rose'. It has the new 'Spinnaker Tower' from which you have an amazing view.

Paultons Park is a well known children's theme park set in acres of beautiful surroundings, fun rides for the children and more than you could see in a day.
